Solar and the Coalition in Germany

Lots of buzz about status of discussion in coalition negotiations in Germany - when ill solar subsidies be cut?

Today one participant (Joachim Pfeiffer, CDU) has repeatedly been talking to the media during negotiations. He has been saying that cuts in the Feed-In-Tariff (FIT) for ground mounted installations shall be effective already in 2010

Splitting the time when cuts for ground mounted and rooftop installations take effect is a new proposal.

Cross checks with other people who have been in the negotiation have revealed that currently there is no final consensus.

We will continue to closely monitor the progress.
